Mom returned from the hospital with bandages on her hand, arm and partially her face. At first she was in a lot of pain, but as time progressed and the burns healed up nicely. She was back to normal within about 2 months time.

During that time, my brother, father and I was pretty much on our own. Being a last key kid, I knew how to cook and fix dinner for my brother. I stayed away from the downstairs oven. Whether it was the ghost or just a over active pilot light, my father shut it down.
The winter had come and gone. Spring was on it's way. My mother was working during the early daytime, so we were now being taken care of. My father still worked till late in the evening, so this influenced her decision.
The Hauntings died down, with a occasional footsteps on the stairs. We thought peace finally came to the Carr household. We were able to enjoy our newly renovated house. My mother and Kay (our neighbor down the street) redecorated the living room. They stayed away from the dining room, just in case.
It was a Friday night, my father was at work and my brother spent the night at his friend, Gary's house. My mother and I spent the night on the couch watching television. The time was just turning 9 p.m. and "Police Woman" with Angie Dickenson was just starting. The beginning starts with flashing and a siren and a black and white picture of Angie in her, "hold or I'll shoot" pose.
I took my eyes away from the television to see a pink light coming from the hallway that connected the bathroom with the living room. The light got brighter, as if something was getting closer. I nudged my mother to look in the direction of the light. Then all of sudden.......... we saw her. It was a lady in a pink mist glowing from head to waist. She was coming out of hallway and now was in the living room. She turned and stared directly at us. She wore a gown and her hair was wild and black. Her eyes glowed and stood out and her mouth was pronounced. The rest of her face seem like if it was erased by the mist circling around her.
We screamed and was stunned motionless. She seemed like if she was floating, in slow motion. She then turned and floated to the closet that was under the stairs that lead up to the upstairs. She melted into the door, as if it wasn't there. The pink glow left the room and the glow from the television was the only light in the room.
We both looked at each other, stunned, confused, scared, and now in a panic. We looked around for weapons to confront the Specter. I found my brother's baseball bat by the front door and we approached the door to the closet under the stairs.

After a brief argument about who was going to open the door and who will hold the bat, my mother opened the door. Nothing was there. Not one trace of what we have seen of the lady in pink. Our hearts racing, but slowly calmed downed. All the lights in the house were now turned on by us. God, both of us did want to be in the dark.
We could not explain this one away, it was now figuring out what to tell dad when he got home. We sat back down and tried to relax. One eye on the television and one eye on the closet door.
